The home should be the warmest, most welcoming and encouraging place to be; where family members long to return to after any working day. The thought of the home should excite each individual that is a part of that home.
How loveable, exciting and welcoming a home is, is largely dependent on the various ways by which it is cultivated.
In this book, Pastor Faith Abiola Oyedepo discusses the vital aspects that a godly home needs to be cultivated
When Christianity is void of the use of the mind, it becomes stupidity. The reason some Christians are held down in defeat is because they do not engage their minds in working out a way of escape for themselves. For instance, you cannot expect to progress on your job if you do it absent mindedly or work routinely like a robot, without seeking ways of improving on it. But when a man is mentally involved in his endeavours, he will always come up with innovative ways of improving onthem. Even the Bible leaves each man with the responsibility of working out his own salvation with fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12). So you need to engage your mind, for you to live a productive and fulfilled life
The reason for this book, therefore, is to provoke you unto a life of productive thinking. It is my prayer that you will understand the limitless resources of your mind (especially the spiritually renewed mind) and discover avenues of utilizing the same for your progress and enthronement in life. You are created for the top, but it is only attainable by an effective utilization of your mind. You will get there, in Jesus‟ name
When you don’t have strategies, you suffer tragedies. Winning in life takes strategies. One of the worst plagues of life is for one not to know what next to do. When you know what to do, you don’t remain on the same spot. You cannot get out of life what you have not put into it. There are relevant activities that initiate progress. You cannot make it in life just because you are liked by people. Much more, you must engage progressive steps if you must go forward in life. Joshua 1:8 says, This Book of the Law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. So, it is not just what you know that guarantees your success.
What you do with what you know is of equal importance, because that is what makes your way prosperous. Knowledge imparts power for progress, but it takes strategic steps to make it a reality. In my book, Overcoming Stagnation, I discussed extensively how to generate power from within for progress. I believe it will serve as a good foundation and also help your understanding of this book
Fasting has been a prevalent practice among Christians for ages. While some view it as a means to deepen their spiritual connection, others see it as a means to getting their needs met by God. Though engaging in a fast can produce these results, it’s just a fragment of what it is intended for.
Fasting, coupled with prayer, when engaged with faith, has tremendous effect and should be a natural part of the believer’s life. The same way you practice other spiritual exercises such as studying the Word, meditation, witnessing and prayer, you should practice the habit of fasting.
In his usual insightful exposition, Dr. David Oyedepo reveals the secrets of living an overcomers life in the midst of a languishing world. This book also reveals how you can win invisible battles through the blood of Jesus; how to put your angels to work and how things and situations, which otherwise would pose a problem will become cheaply
